SlideCompound™ is a mild /semi-aggressive grit polishing compound which contains micro-silica abrasives that deep clean and remove heavy oxidation, minor scratches, leaf stains, surface rust, water shoe black marks, bird droppings, water scum lines and other surface contaminants. Its unique “micro-silica” particles provide the most effective cutting action to quickly prepare the water slide surface for the application of SlideWax™. All the ingredients are inert in the environment or biodegradable to non-hazardous compounds. One gallon will typically polish the interior surface of a 200 linear foot open body slide; approximately 2,000 sq. ft.

RECOMMENDED USES: SlideCompound™ is recommended to be used on interior riding surfaces of water slides and the exterior surfaces of RTM (smooth finish) water slides. It is the first step in restoring the LIKE-NEW appearance of water slides. SlideCompound™ should be used prior to opening day and immediately after the water slide is shut down for the season. To provide maximum protection during the season and in the off season, Slide Wax™ should be applied on top of SlideCompound™.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE: All surface contaminants should first be removed using Slide Detergent™ (Refer to Product Data Sheet for application instructions). For SlideCompound™ to be most effective, the product must be applied to a clean, dry and adequately prepared surface. Apply SlideCompound™ using a moistened wool pad to reduce friction or a moistened clean, white, cloth. Work compound back and forth in a swirling motion in 2’ x 2’ sq. ft. sections. Do not apply in direct sunlight. To achieve superior results, apply 2-4 ounces to a moistened wool pad and polish the surface using a buffing machine at 1200-1800 RPM. DO NOT USE MORE THAN 4 OUNCES IN A 2’ x 2’ sq. ft. SECTION. After a light haze appears (approximately 1-2 minutes), remove the haze with a buffing machine using a clean wool pad. The wool and foam pads can be re-used after washing them with a SlideDetergent™ or a mild soap. SlideCompound™ is not a wax. For long lasting protection and a brilliant shine, apply SlideWax™ (Refer to Product Data Sheet for application instructions).
